Shape-shifting work capturing the human experience
As I See It…
There are two apparently disparate beings making this work…
One describes a dark quiet world of wonder and inevitability, its large slow shapes immersed in time and transformation, heedless of humans.
The other depicts the humans, whose lives score lines of love and longing, grief or pain, or laughter on their faces. They are captured quickly in the wild, then gone. They are free.
It is good to move freely from one mode to another… paint to poem, poem to song, shape to metaphor and meaning, to music sometimes, if you can.
Love life now. We haven’t got long.
